![]() When the planters were undertaking torturous means to compel the raiyats for the cultivation of indigo, the latter had no choice but to resist the planters. Thus, right from the beginning, indigo cultivation became synonymous with coercion and oppression. The latter used the right to force the raiyats to cultivate indigo, and threatened to enhance rent unless the raiyats increased the production of indigo the planters also deprived the raiyats of the due price for their crop. The raiyats also felt the adverse effect of the acquisition of new rights by the planters. Thus, the Bangali zamindars could see the emergence of a rival group backed by the government. With the acquisition of zamindari powers, the planters also had full authority over their raiyats. Like the Bengali zamindars, the European indigo planters also obtained new powers and concessions with regard to the land. The relationship deteriorated further after 1837, when the government passed laws permitting the planters to own land. The zamindar's demand for high rate for their land often had been the bone of contention between these two parties. The zamindars leased out lands for indigo cultivation to the agents of the planters, while the agency houses of Calcutta advanced money to the planters at a high rate of interest. The planters also did not have sufficient capital required for the cultivation. In 1788, the company terminated the contracts and decided to support the European planters who were attempting to cultivate indigo in Bengal.Īt the earlier stages of the indigo cultivation, the European indigo planters were not allowed to own land. The East India Company had earlier entered into contracts with a number of private traders who, instead of setting up factories, supplied the company with indigo from Agra and Oudh at an exorbitant price. It would be produced by the subsistence rayats under conditions of the merchants. The company decided to encourage the cultivation of indigo in Bengal. Moreover, to enable the company's servants and private traders to transfer their personal funds from India to England, export commodities were needed for sale in Europe. Thus, an extensive cultivation of cash crops was considered essential for reviving Bengal's economy. Due to massive destruction of manufacturing industry and agriculture, following the company's occupation of Bengal, the economy of the country was in ruin. ![]() That was exactly what the company's government wanted. In a letter to the Governor-General-in-Council on 12 July 1787, Blume mentioned that he had tried as early as 1778 to cultivate indigo in order to improve agriculture and create a new commodity for commerce. ![]() ![]() Carel Blume, another early planter, had erected his factory in 1779, twenty-five miles from Calcutta, somewhere in hughli. ![]() Settled in Chandernagar, Frenchman Louis Bonnard was the first European planter to enter Bengal in 1777. The stabilisation of the east india company's political power in Bengal combined with appropriate climate and cheap labour, made some Bengal districts highly suitable for indigo production. When the indigo planters of these areas switched to more profitable crops in the later part of the 18th century, the growing cloth industry in England had to look for an alternative source for indigo. Subsequently, in the 17th and 18th centuries, West Indies and America produced superior quality of indigo. Western India was the centre of the indigo cultivation. India produced and exported indigo from time immemorial. Indigo Planters forced raiyats (cultivators) to produce indigo for the world market. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Killer Instinct™ home arcade cabinet from Arcade1Up. And I was already doing some simple stretching, so I felt it wasn’t necessary. Slowly, but surely.īy the way, Chloe Ting added warm-up and cool-down videos for every day of the 2-week shred, but they are optional. Besides, if you do the same exercises every day, you can see how you get stronger by how much easier they become. Some people complain about repetition, but can you really complain if a workout program is only 2 weeks long? You’re ultimately repeating a lot of the exercises, but how much variety do you need in 2 weeks time? It’s ultimately up to the individual, and I definitely got a little “ugh not again” at some of the exercises, but I sucked it up. So as I said before, the 2-week shred is a combination of videos to be done every day. Breakdown of the videos that make up the program This was my weight at the halfway point of the shred. But I did happen to visit my aunt who had one and I was at 48.8 kg–the same as always ( between 48-50 kg for the past 5 years, since I gave birth). I wasn’t able to measure my weight because I don’t own a scale, not since I moved to Suriname from the Netherlands, about 3 years ago. And I also measured my thighs where they are widest, as well as my arms. To get these numbers, I measured the slimmest part of my waist and the widest part of my hips. But I had a handy dandy tape measure at home so I was able to get it done. I wasn’t even sure how to do this so I had to Google. So I took my measurements for the first time ever–okay, except for the Victoria’s Secret sales advisors who try to quickly, and often inaccurately, measure your bust. A 1-hour (at most) commitment for 14 days is nothing, after all. It’s good to surprise your body with various forms of movement–and at age 32, I had nothing to lose. I still took measurements, for good measure. It doesn’t require any weights–but you do need a basic fitness mat of some sort. The 2-week shred is meant to slim you down and tone you up at the same time. It’s straightforward, and all the workouts are on YouTube, for free. This particular program means you’ll be working out between 35-60 minutes daily. And you do the videos scheduled for that day. What does the 2-week shred entail? You simply take a look at the calendar, here. It’s 11 days of workouts, 3 days of rest, to be exact. It’s a fitness program that takes 2 weeks to complete–and that includes some scheduled in rest days. Upon looking further, I discovered a 2019 version as well. So when I found out about Chloe Ting, she had just released this 2-week shred challenge for the year 2020. What even is the Chloe Ting 2-week shred 2020 challenge? Once I looked through some of her videos and what she was trying to put out there, it seems like she’s EVERYWHERE. It still amazes me that people can have such a huge following on platforms like YouTube-and I can get by not ever hearing about them. I had been living under a rock because I had not heard about Chloe Ting (or the Chloe Ting 2-week shred 2020 challenge, for that matter) until the COVID pandemic took us all by storm. Me doing some of Chloe Ting’s glute videos ![]() ![]() ![]() Why? Well, first of all, Windows 10 has become one of the MOST bloated operating systems on Earth that most people use. ![]() So, as simple as that: just install Windows 7. If you're on Windows 10 and you're on 4GB RAM (or 6) and have a pretty crap CPU, then I HIGHLY recommend you do this as it will give you a small performance boost, and also get rid of (micro) stuttering. Now, you will probably most likely think this wouldn't change your framerate, but oh boy, you're very wrong. In order to add custom resolutions that have weird aspect ratios or measurements on an old gen Intel iGPU, you'll need to install MODDED DRIVERS (which may or may not give you the ability to do that, depending on the modded driver, mine does though)! Check the modded drivers section for more information. ![]() If you don't know how to add a custom resolution using your GPU's control panel, Google is your friend :) I've also updated the configuration file and have modified the pastebin link with the new config! Make sure to check the custom resolution the config file and add it to your GPU's control panel! I'm currently using 640x360 with an internal resolution of 70%. So, well, the 640 by 400 resolution is the almost perfect one for 16:9 aspect ratio displays.Īpparently, if you add a custom resolution from your GPU's control panel, it doesn't do that anymore so you'll be able to use a 16:9 resolution that is LOWER than 640x400! Yay! I would've lowered it even more but the game has no other 8:5 aspect ratio resolution lower than that so it will force a 4:3 aspect ratio instead which in turn makes you lose a lot of FOV, which I'm assuming you wouldn't want in a competitive game. The resolution is pretty much the display resolution of the game scaled down to 640 by 400640 by 360.įor some reason, Rocket League likes to lock your aspect ratio to the closest in-game resolution setting which is also closest to your config resolution, which sucks, at least to me. Watch the GIF below if you still don't know what to do. I've edited a lot of the config file and it's kinda a lot to go through, this would probably be 10 KM long if I would, so instead, I'm just going to give you my config (if the link is somehow down, please don't hesitate to message me on Discord: EricPlayZ#6063 or on Steam) and I'm gonna try to roughly explain what I've changed which boosts your framerate.īefore that though, if you don't know what to do with that text, just copy it all, delete the text inside your " TASystemSettings.ini" config (backup your config before doing this if you want to, or you could just delete it and launch RL which will regenerate the config with the default settings) and paste in the text you just copied, save the file and go to the Properties of the file and check Read-only. This configuration file contains your in-game graphics settings as well as a LOT of other graphical options that will boost your FPS by at least 40 FPS.
